I
began working at Texas Tech University in Fall of 2000. I previously
taught at the University
of Houston Main Campus where I was on faculty for 10 years and was the
Director of MBA Programs. Prior to that
I was on faculty at the University
of Georgia, worked in the oil and gas industry (ExxonMobil)
and in banking (Frost Bank in San Antonio).
My academic degrees are: a BBA (Finance) from the University
of Texas at Austin, MBA and PhD (Accounting) from Texas
A&M University. I am certified as a public accountant in the state of
Texas.
My research interests include behavioral issues in corporate budgeting and auditing. My most recent research has been in the area of audit hours budgeting and decision making at the FASB.
I write a series of practice sets, the Real World Accounting Series, which is published by Irwin - McGraw Hill. I have also written several textbooks on Microsoft Works and Microsoft Office, which are published by Course Technology.![]()
